New to Putnoe Heights Church?
If you're thinking of visiting us for the first time then this page is for you - we hope to answer some of the questions you might have and provide some information on what you can expect.

Getting here
On arrival
Hymns are projected on the screen in church but hymn sheets are available for those who need or would prefer one.
Orders of service may be printed or the words may appear on screen - the welcome team will let you know what to expect.
You are welcome to sit wherever you wish. There is no dress code at Putnoe Heights so wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

During the service
A collection will be taken to support the work the church. You are under no obligation to give. Gift Aid envelopes are available for those eligible.
Music

Holy Communion
The Communion stewards will let you know when to go up to the Communion Table to receive. Communion is distributed as a continuous flow so you can return to your seat once you've received the wine. If you would prefer to receive in your seat please let the Communion stewards know. The Minister will indicate how to let them know if you would prefer to receive a blessing.
We are currently using wafers and individual glasses for Communion.
If you have any questions about Communion please ask a steward or our minister.
Children
Facilities are available for very young children whether you would prefer to remain in the service or take them out. We also have baby changing facilities.

After the service
On several occasions throughout the year we join together for lunch which can be either a bring and share lunch or catered.
Occasionally whole church meetings take place after the service.
Accessibility
We have disabled access toilets.
The Loop system is in operation.
A large print version of the newsletter is available.
Our chairs are comfortable and a number have arms. They are arranged in short rows with wide aisles.
The external doors have power assist buttons.

Getting involved
You can take your time to get to know us and do things at your own pace. If at any point you feel that you'd like to get more involved or volunteer in some way then please speak to a member of the leadership team who will be delighted to talk to you.
There are lots of activities which take place in our building - see our What's On page to find out more.
